1.20 inches of rain in 65 minutes. Incredible. Poor drained areas flooded all over. Backyard was a river at one point.

Drove from Stamford to White Plains around 1:30 today. Lots of flooded streets in Stamford south of I-95/downtown and even some flooding on I-95 itself. Once I passed about exit 5 in Greenwich it and I-287 were pretty good. But I heard lots of problems on the Hutch and Merritt, sorry gmdealerguy.

Yeah, most of CT and NYC metro is in the mid-upper 60s, while 100-150 miles down in the Philly area it's in the mid-upper 80s......that kind of contrast fuels all this wild weather.

Fatality in Stamford from Tree falling on Merrit due to Thunderstorm. I dont see any high wind reports so I think it was from saturated grounds and flooding. That is sad news. I hate stories like that.

This is whats causing all this. A low pressure system that is spinning like a Hurricane over the great lakes right now. This is about the 5th time I've seen this hurricane like system over land this year.

Im sure you guys are following the Mid Section Flooding thats happening. 500yr flood for the 2nd time in 15yrs. Its a mess the Missouri River and more out there.

Everyone enjoying the 60s for the highs? Take your pick..Strong storms or cool temps. Storms in Jersey are breaking apart right before NYC because they are hitting a wall of cool air. Some of those storms had hail, 50mph winds and intense lightning but now just clouds over us...

Drastic difference from last year
