The 10 day forecast showed 73 for next Thursday...then a day later showed 72...This morning they show 69 as the day high...I continue to LMAO seeing the number drop... Why can't they put 61 already! It would be pushing it to say we'll be in the 50's becuase I dont believe that but maybe in some higher elevation/interior sections the high will be 58...

So I'm going to say 62 will be next wednesday or thursdays high to be conservative. Lows will be low 40's

1. The NAO and AO are also going to become sharply negative around this time.

2. A High Pressure from Central Canada (1026 MB)

3. An Intensifying 50/50 Low

These two are positioned to squeeze the cold air, but can only last for a day or two.

NWS is still showing low 70s Tuesday afternoon, upper 60s Wednesday and Thursday. I can maybe see -5 for the Litchfield Hills, +3 for the Hartford area. High 50s seems a bit of a stretch this time of the year, especially if only one or two models actually show it.

How about discussing something a little more important than potential cool temps? The lack of rain, for instance. We've had a new puppy for a few months now, and she's only seen rain twice. I'm in upper FFC. Streams/lakes/rivers are drying up here. Even shrubs and trees are dying, not to mention lawns. How is the rest of Ct. faring? At least eastern Ct. might have gotten rain from Earl, but we didn't get any. It is SO dry.

Its hilarious seeing the 10 day forecast for the past 4 days...Wednesdays temps started at 72/65, then each day they kept dropping it... why dont they just listen to me? LOL

Today they have wednesday and wednesday night at 68/50.... They're getting closer... I think they're starting to realize it. LOL

I think we're going to see 58 for the high and 41 for the low.. Some towns might see 38!

I called this back on September 8th while forecasts still showed 70's all week....

Get your sweatshirts & firewood ready.
