Igor...will turn. All models point to no threat to the USA ..only interest now is for Bermuda. Even Canadian Maritimes should be to far left but thats not certain.

I am so sick of heat here in N.C. I have HAD IT....yuch. Give me cold and snowy any day. This is the time of year I hate..its cooling down up there and we arestill upper 80's ..won't really get relief till October.

They never made it where I live. Aside from drizzle yesterday, we are still getting no rain. Hopefully we really will get the rain predicted for Thursday night. At this point I will believe it when I see it.

WE NEED RAIN! The trees are stressed, browning out, changing color 3 weeks in advance etc. (I think this fall is going to suck)

Resevoirs are low, grass is brown. Someone get a tropical storm up this way please...

No luck there, Igor and Julia are heading well off to sea.

Aside from this front passage on Thursday (which BOX is suggesting possible need of severe t'storm warnings?), there's nothing for wet weather for the next week. Great if you like days 70 and decent amounts of sun, but we do need rain once in a while.

How about before 5 pm, while I'm at work inside a cold gray box? Why wait until after 5?

The bad part with the dry weather is that if it were winter (Dec – March), daily highs were in the upper 30’s/ low 40’s, and the sun angle was low - the drying out would not be quite so bad. However, it’s only mid September – we have another month and a half of daily highs in the 60s/70s/even a few 80’s and a relatively high sun angle. If this keeps up with the no rain… it will really start looking very dry around here comes late October.

You're right! I was able to count the drops that fell. Amazing that wall was still in place... Very amazing to look at the radar and see the rain falling to the west of us in PA but then disappear as it gets to us...

Maybe different story in 2 hours...Rain coming...hopefully.. We are already in a moderate drought...we cannot go into severe before an LaNinawinter

From Sept. 7th. 3 months ago, 8% of NorthEast was abnormally dry, now 36.7%! And probably above 40% if I can find a current drought map.

Knock on wood guys... we didnt get the winds, lightning, hail and damage that brooklyn got...Wow they got pounded!

When all you see is leaves, sticks, branches and powerlines and no street pavement you know there was some serious wind.

If a Tornado is confirmed that will make 2 in 3 months and Tornado's are rare down there but only rare to our knowledge from record keeping.
