I'm trying to beat last years date of Nov. 5th not turning furnace on. So far I had to light the wood stove twice to take the chill out but the house stays pretty warm. In fact the a/c automatically came on 3 nights ago.

A real upset to get in there with only a 45 inch average...goes to show the pounding CT last year snow-wise..

I think their figure is actually well under what most of the area actually got. Hartford being in the valley didn't see the snowfall totals some parts like Glastonbury and Eastern Manchester got.

This was ONE storm looking out my front door. 30 inches in one storm. Hartford got 16" from the same storm. It was a brutal year.

That's amazing not only because Hartford made the top 10 but because the "award" used to only evaluate/compare upstate NY cities (like Buffalo vs. Syracuse vs. Albany, etc.).

Definetly a crazy year...and to think it was all just within 4 week time makes it even crazier.

That 45" is just the average for Hartford... They got 86" total for the season last year. Bridgeport 62". Boston 81".

In the last 2 years Hartford got 117"

What do you guys think about this year? Any thoughts or predictions?
