I wonder if I am on ignore for some posters! LOL, I did mention the storm earlier. We got some brief, heavy rain, and one super close lightning strike that temporarily blew out the power. It was a better storm than most of the ones we get in the summer, and looking at the radar there might be more in store for us, too.

lol. Not on ignore list, I didnt see your edit. lol That storm just blew up out of nowhere.

As usual my rant about wishing there were more reports into NWS from different locations to actually know what happened on ground. I hope one day everyone becomes trained to accurately call the weather to report it. That would be Euphoria.

Thanks for your report ATTW3. :-)

Thundering/lightning and very heavy rain in Trumbull right now (and has been for the past 30-45 minutes or so).

Yeah, it seemed like it was dying down but just started up again here, too. Lots of close lightning strikes.

Pretty bad thundershower here too…lighting just struck something! (unsure, what, maybe roof), and raining like a super typhoon, lol. We need the rain though, so I’m pretty happy about it. With the warming temps coming early next week, grass should really green up fast. As far as the ignore feature, I don’t think it has any impact on the real weather forecast.

Yes, it looks like the number 2 spot for the warmest March of all time at Central Park will be where March 2012 falls. Still, it will be a foot race to the finish line for the record. Amazing to think we've seen the 2nd warmest March since 1869 at Central Park. Though tiny in geologic time, it is modeslty impressive in human time scales I guess.
