Did you see the 12Z GFS? It seems to slow the storm down more as it is fighting the ridge, and QPF amounts in NH don't seem overly impressive.. This storm has to produce something or the fire danger and drought situation will get very bad quickly. I'm thinking at least 1 inch of precip at minimum will fall

Looks like GFS wants to continue to show strong blocking and Euro does not. So GFS slows the thing down. (shown this for 4 runs now)

Either way I think we'll finally see rain for this time period.

Here's the latest GFS 3 day rain total for next week. Purples are good when your thirsty.

And here's the Euro.

Get your Rain buckets out. Preserve anything you can catch. Euro12z introduces the stall as well now. We'll see.

Looks like the sea breeze is kicking in near the coast, Bridgeport down to 69, even Central Park down into the mid 70s. Hartford area still near 90 at the moment (Bradley's high today 91 so far, it actually may be the "warm spot" for all of New England if not the whole Northeast.....only other temp that high I could find down to VA was in Trenton, NJ and Poughkeepsie, NY).

Upton Says they only say "chance" of precip(POPS) because the solution is not established yet. But if models continue to show it then we could see 1-2" of rain.

"FOR THE WEEKEND THROUGH MONDAY...MODELS AGREE THAT THE 500MB PATTERN AMPLIFIES...AND ARE BEGINNING TO CONVERGE ON THE IDEA THAT A LOW PRESSURE CENTER STRENGTHENS OVER THE SOUTHEAST STATES SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY BEFORE MOVING NORTH TOWARDS THE MID ATLANTIC ON MONDAY. SHOULD MODELS CONTINUE TO SHOW THIS...POPS WILL NEED TO BE INCREASED ESPECIALLY FOR SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY. BUT FOR NOW...CAPPED POPS IN THE CHANCE CATEGORY AS THE TREND TOWARDS THIS SOLUTION IS NOT QUITE ESTABLISHED. SHOULD THE TREND CONTINUE...WE COULD SEE AN INCH OR TWO OF RAINFALL DURING THIS PERIOD WHICH WOULD BRING SOME RELIEF TO THE DROUGHT CONDITIONS"

Sea breeze must be really strong as Bridgeport "only" got to 78 today. Central Park and Newark topped out at 88 (I already mentioned 91 at Hartford). By the way, the only April day over 90 in Bridgeport was 91 on April 28, 1991 (during the 2002 'heat wave' they topped out at 89).

Cold front comes through tomorrow. Wake up temps might sting a little for many areas.

If these low temps happen it will be 7 degrees below normal..
