Fall anyone? NW wind making it chilly. In fact most areas are near 60 degrees at 2pm. and 50s arent that far behind.

Pop up showers (some heavy) will be around through the weekend but mostly nice weekend and windy.

Graupel being reported in PA. Sure enough, check out the 4000' level temps!(colored) Dark blue is below freezing. Light blue is from 33-39 degrees.

6am temps May 11th. Frost Advisories North of us. Some local spots got to upper 30s overnight. But generally stayed in low 40s. Wind might have made it feel colder.

Default May 24th Storm

May 23-25, 2012 Storm Update::

Looking like something will happen around this time frame May 24th. I'm much more confident now because of the consistancy GFS is showing something happening.

First let me say, Bridgeport CT has gotten more rain with each May after 2007. So its fitting if this does happen, we'll surpass last May.

May Rain Totals:
2007: 1.05"
2008: 2.44"
2009: 2.93"
2010: 3.16"
2011: 5.61"
2012: 2.74"

Second, I'm not sure if this is Tropical, a NorEaster yet. Details will be worked out as time goes on. Its not even in the Euro time frame yet. lol

Latest GFS Rain totals for Mon-Friday of 21st-25th. 5 day total(mostly from one event(2 days worth)

Just looking at the temps for the upcoming week. How strange would it be if Hartford failed to crack 80 F in May, having hit 80+ in March and 90+ in April? (although looks like Sunday may be warm...)

Have you started a thread about this on the accuweather forum yet? Just curious as to what others think.

30F this morning in Merrimack County, NH. This will likely be the last freeze of the Spring season in this area.

Well, as 7Wishes posted, Hartford did make it on the list of Strangest Weather Cities. lol

6 Strange Weather Cities in 2012 - weather.com

From Stu Ostro. "I would argue no state in the U.S. has seen more extreme weather since the start of 2011 than Connecticut"
