That is one nasty cell heading to Litchfield. Wow! Dont head into Litchfield until after 3:30-4pm! If you are there, find shelter until it passes. Possible rotation there too based on radar.

The 3D view bottom right shows inside the storm. That much red(50dbz) and that high up indicates an absolute intense storm with lightning and torrential downpours.

Last post for now...I dont want to flood the thread... Storm popped up right over Hartford now heading to Manchester.
Warning should be with that one soon.

Another one heading to Waterbury. Training cells about to form and stay over Litchfield soon...(might be a while before they are in the clear! I bet you there is damage in Litchfield somewhere.

This going to be a long evening.

I hope you got the text message alerts setup. Stay safe! I'm going to say stay off the Merrit if you see cells heading toward there...flooding on Merrit will be likely.

Yeah, rain is at your doorstep(just rain(maybe heavy) within 10-15 minutes but the strongest part of the cell will miss you to your north. You should be hearing the thunder at least. An y winds??

There were some good cracks of thunder for a while in the Hartford area, along with a couple of power blips but the lights came back on. It has quieted down some for now.

Wind and hefty rain passed over Hartford but its getting dark again. Downright eerie watching the lightning reflex of the gold building.
