Hmmm ... would you eat raw fish from Long Island Sound ? Boston Harbor ?

Most of the sushi-grade fish from the Pacific comes from well off-shore. Having local "fishing industry" does not a sushi capacity make. Granted, all fish are now tained with industrial toxins ... regardless of where captured. But I would much rather take my chances with the fish in the Pacific than the locally caught fish on the Atlantic.

You are right about Itailian food ... sort of. There is much better pizza on the east coast. But it is in New Jersey ... not Connecticut.

The best pizza in the US is in New Haven. CT and NJ are about tied for Italian food in general.

Would you eat raw fish from Long Beach or San Francisco Bay??? Don't be silly thinking that Long Island Sound and Boston Harbor are the only places Connecticut Fisherman fish. As for your comment on pizza, well it shows just what you know. I would match any of the New Haven style pizza places with the best NJ has to offer. I lived in NJ for a number of years and while there are some good ones, there are some not so good ones too. Jay

I laughed at this one too.

Only the former President of the United States (Bill Clinton) comes out of his way outside NYC…to come to Wooster Street in New Haven to get Pizza. Rachael Ray, EL...etc have down shows from the pizza places on Wooster Street. They have been in mags in Europe.

Default the move was due to the economy???

The OP was looking for 30+ acres of horse farm. Sorry few and far between. The fact that CT is one of the oldest developed states in the CT means that most towns have very little undeveloped land. Especially not in Ffld county. New Haven might have some, (doubt it) but what owners are trying to do is break up those properties into 1/3 lots and putting 2500sf McMiniMansions on those lots..

This isn't open space colorado or montana

Oh yeah, and the move was due to the economy. As for our CT economy, the newest estimates are that CT will not enter the recovery until 2015, and we currently rank dead last (yes last behind MI) for new job creation. The gov has state workers working thru w/ends and holidays to handle the unemployment claims..

The last behind MI comes right from CT.gov sources.

JayCT only shows his undying loyalty to Connecticut ... a state rooted and firmly intrenched in the past.

Enbrace the future Jay ... and the fact that you may be wrong. The best New England Clam Chowder, for instance, is found in Seattle Washington.

Roboweb - This only shows how little you know about Connecticut. And I suppose the best Maine lobster is found in New Mexico. Jay

You want land...Try states like Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. However, you won't find cities like Boston but you could drive to Boston from those states. While New England is a beautiful area are you ready for the 4 seasons?
