I'd put Orange a slot above Brookfield on the desirability scale.

Yes...it's actually quite nice. The town itself is beautiful but 95 and RT 1 cut through town, which make it busy.

191 Hunyadi Avenue, Fairfield CT - Trulia
88 Camden Street, Fairfield CT - Trulia

Or, is there a particular area on this map that I should focus on? Fairfield Single-Family Homes For Sale — Trulia.com (http://tinyurl.com/272zkb6 - broken link)

Thanks!
I know most of these locations very well. Windsor is a great location right near Osborne Hill School. I know people in that area that love it there. you are convenient to Fairfield Center and Black Rock Turnpike and you can walk to the school. Funny thing is I know this house. It was built by the smae builder who built a house for my family in another neighborhood. He was a same builder from Milford named Jack Soldi and it was built at the same time my family's home was built. My family's home was very well built for a modest home. I think that house is similar.

I also know people on Lynnbrook and they like it there but it is closer to Bridgeport and there is more traffic than the other neighborhoods. Still nice though.

Windemere is in Stratfield and also very nice.and quiet. probaly considered the nicest of the streets you list here.

Hunyadi is nice too. My family has lived in that neighborhood for over 90 years. It is not as upscale as say Windsor or Wyndemere but still decent. There is kind of a mix of homes including some small ranches, capes and a few older homes built by the Hungarians that built the neighborhood.

Camden is probably the only street I would not consider. It is right on I-95 and is really in an industrial area off Commerce Drive. Hard to cmpare to Windsor or Wyndemere. I hope this helps. Jay

There is another thread about a poster looking for schools and shopping within walking distance of each other... this sounds like just what he was looking for...

Can you help me pinpoint the downtown area on google maps? Or maybe give me a store/bank/restaurant that I can look up as a point of reference?

And Milford schools are ok or better?

Thanks again!

That would be Trumbull Shopping Park, but I think it is now called Westfield Trumbull. But honestly, most people I know in Fairfield find most of what they need right within town.

To answer your question on Milford's downtown, it is generally around the intersection of Broad Street, River Street and New Haven Avenue. Jay
