Moving to Chatfield Farms in Beacon Falls in a month and would like to know some moderately priced places to eat within 10 or 15 miles. A variety of Italian, American, Mexican, Chinese etc. Thanks

Hot Tamales in Seymour is decent. It's your typical CT Americanized Mexican restaurant though (coming from CA, you will almost certainly be disappointed ).

Nardelli's Grinders is fantastic in Naugatuck.

There's also Roma Pizzeria in Ansonia (cash only) that is AMAZING in my opinion, and Roselands in Derby that's equally amazing, maybe even better than Roma. Rolando's in Oxford also has good Greek/Italian food.

The Sandwich Man Diner in Seymour is good - a typical diner. Nothing more, nothing less.

IMO The Valley and New Haven (along Wooster Street) have among the best pizza in the country. Something about those slightly gritty areas and their crispy crust!
