Hi,
Thinking about coming up from LI to see a friends band play in June, just wondering how the area is, been all over CT, yet never been in Hartford.
Is this a dangerous or shady neighborhood, or is it ok.
Thanks.

The Webster is in a neighborhood south of downtown. It's not in a great area, but if you're going there for a show it'll be crowded and you shouldn't have any problems. Try to park as close to the theater as you can. There's a parking lot next to the theater, but it's small. Don't leave anything of value in the car - in the past they've had problems with break-ins and smash and grabs, but I dont' know how bad it is now since it's been years since I've been there.

Thanks for the info.
That's enough for me to pass on it.

Had a smash n' grab many years ago here on LI at a show. Busted a hole in my windsheild to yank out the $40 radio. Had an hours drive home in mid December with a 6" hole right in my face. Not fun.

Thanks again.

Would you know if they play the Palladium in Worcester? The two are owned by the same company IIRC, and often times the same bands will play one the day before or after the other. The place is also downtown, with not as many crime or safety issues.
