Hi looking for new townhome/ housing development in or near Danbury (within 15miles) looking between 200-300's or higher (if there is a lease with option to buy)

Thanks

Will even consider communities that haven't been built yet.

There is a new devolpment in Danbury called Timber Oaks. Units start around $299,000 (if they haven't sold out of them). There are pretty of other condos in Danbury between $200,000-$300,000 to choose from. Most have built have in the last 25 years. Some communities offer things like tennis courts,a pool and clubhouse. I would suggest hooking up with a local buyer's agent to show you the various communities, because it can seem overwhelming with many choices (currently 73 units in just Danbury listed between $200,000-$300,000 according to the MLS).

Just questioning - the "Timber Oaks" you speak of in the last post, is that the new one they built off between exits 1 and 2 to the south of 84?

The Timber Oaks community is located along the Danbury/Bethel line off of South Street. There are going be about about 350 units there, and I believe they are about 70% sold out. The Rivington devolpment is located between exit 1-2 in Danbury south of I-84 on some of the old Union Carbide land. I'm not sure what is going on over there now, but initial plans called for about 1300 townhomes in 3 different villages. Currently, there are about 100 units up that have been sold and I think the builder owns only a couple of units that are complete.

Jdhall - I don't mean to hijack the thread but the answer to my question can probably help out the OP. Do you know anything about the condos off of Kenosia Ave, the ones that are on the hill bordering Cartus? I have a good friend/coworker who will be doing contracting work for Cartus and is considering these condos with a price range of approximately $250k. They look nice from the outside and you can't really beat that view (if it has the same view as Cartus - the mall, airport, highway, WestConn, Rt 7 and Mill Plain).

The units over by Kenosia Ave is the Lake Place community. There are 160 units. Community amenties include a private beach on Lake Kenosia, pool, regular tennis & paddle courts and clubhouse. Recent sales have ranged from the lower $300s to the high $400s.

I am somewhat familiar with Madeline Ridge. The 3rd bedroom is in the lower level, all units are end units. There are no amenties there, such as pool.

Bethel does have some nice townhome devolpments as well. There is Plumtree Heights, a large serveral phase community near the schools, Kingswood, a luxury townhome community off of Juniper Road built in the 1980s where places are favorable since some of the units are showing their age, Lexington Meadows, built in the early 2000s which sits along the Danbury line bordering Meckauer Park, and the Summit at Bethel, off of Apollo Road, is the newest devolpment in town. Many of clients find downtown Bethel to be very cute & charming, but traffic is a concern. There was a new smaller condo community at the corner opposite the Sycamore Restaurant, but I am not sure if they sold out or what the story is with them at this moment.
