I would be joining pfizer groton, for a 3 month internship. It would be starting sometime in May 20(not exactly sure). Just need to know if some one can help me get a short term sublease at apartments near pfizer. I am new so I am thinking of commuting by public transport or walk. Any suggestions regarding proximity and availability

Public transit here pretty much doesn't exist unfortunately. There are lots of apartments, mostly duplexs, near Pfizer; however many of them actually serve the shipyard workers at Electric Boat and are more on the run-down end than you might like. I would suggest looking just a little further away outside of walking distance at someplace like Country Glenn Apts, Pepper Tree, or other apartments around there and maybe bike to work or carpool. I see many Pfizer employees biking and walking in to work and it will also be the summer which means 70-90 degrees with a nice sea breeze. The University of Connecticut-Avery Point campus contracts it's student housing to Country Glenn so they very well might have a reduced short term rate for that three months of summer while the students are gone.

BTW: I talked to Country Glen, and seems that they cannot rent UCONN student house to outsiders.
