"Steer clear of Sprint, though, as the service is HORRIBLE."
"How bad is Sprint's service"

i've had Sprint for 4 years and the only problems i've had with the service is when i'm in a heavy wooded area and can't get a signal but i think that's the case with most services. in fact in one of those areas, nobody else could get a signal either and they used different providers.
i've used it in the Danbury, Southeast and Central CT areas without a problem so i'm not sure what's so horrible about it.

I've had Sprint for a few years and no big issues. I'm thinking of switching to AT&T for the iPhone 4. How is coverage in Fairfield???

Other than in Stamford, I've never had issues with Verizon, at least in Ct. We used to have Sprint though, and no matter where I went it was always a pleasant surprise just getting a signal.
Dial *228 and then select option 2. This updates your software and may help. You should do this at least once a year.
