My neighbor is selling her 2000 sharp 36 inch stereo tv for $100.00. The picture is clear & crisp & overall the tv is in very good condition. She has watched the tv ALOT over the past 10 yrs. Is 100.00 a fair price for a 10 yr old used tv ?

At the risk of posting unnecessarily I'd say if it still works good ..probably. Having said that very large, new, flat screen LCD, Hi-Def tv's are dirt cheap. Also, I wouldn't expect much life left in a 10 year old CRT TV.

I dunno....CRT is pretty much obsolete these days and they are HEAVY. I'm not sure I'd pay $100 and have to lug it into my house. I'd probably save up another $300 or so and buy a new flat screen of the same size.

My neighbor just bought online a nice 42" flat screen stereo tv from walmart. She paid $795.00 plus ripoff tax (8.75%) & the thieving ca disposal fee of $10.00. Delivery is free. I have a 32" sanyo (01 model) that works good. She sold her 36"sharp today for $100.00 plus she threw in a swival tv stand that she paid 200.00 for in 2000. In 2000 she paid around $600.00 for her sharp tv. I paid $425.00 total (tax incl/$30.00) for my sanyo 32" stereo tv in 2001. Thanks for the info.

I gave all my CRT's away for free, so I think you are overpaying.
