Answers appreciaited, if you call someone, who doesn't have call waiting, nor voicemail, so it's just a busy signal, would that still show up on a caller ID? I don't think it would, but I'm not sure. Thanks.

I would not think so. The busy signal does not come from the phone. It comes from an intercept at the phone company to indicate that the phone cannot be connected with.

No it would not show up on the caller id. When the system at the phone company's switching center receives your call it tries to route to the destination phone if that phone is not available for any reason then you will receive the beeping as an error message.

NO! I do not have call waiting as that is the rudest function one can have on their phone. But we do have Caller ID and nothing shows.

My response to anyone that puts me on hold to answer a call waiting is to hang up. If I'm not that important, neither are they.

(PS I know someone called because it goes to voice mail)
