I just purchased an iPod Nano. It's my first-ever iPod. I'm already having problems with it.

For some reason, the playback on my iPod Nano quickly stops whenever I push the sleep button. The playback also stops whenever the screen automatically goes black (which it does when my iPod is idle for 90 seconds).

When listening to music, I usually push the sleep button and turn off the screen so that the battery power on my iPod doesn't drain too quickly.

How could I keep the music playing with the screen turned off?

I've seen Nano owners who are able to play music even after pressing the sleep button.

What am I doing wrong?
