If you have it, do you like it, and are you happy with the download speed?

I just set one of our receivers up for OD, and I'm not happy with the download speed. I started downloading a movie, and after 30 minutes it was only on 19%. We have TWC high speed broadband so I thought it would have been faster than that.

I'm pretty sure that's a bit slow. I've got Road Runner Lite in my house...and it takes me about 15-20 minutes to download my son's 25-minute cartoon...which is standard definition.

Are you downloading HD movies? That eats up alot more memory and may take longer to download. I could see it actually taking a couple hours to download a 120 minute HD movie easily.

I think speedtest.net allows you to test the speed of your broadband connection. There you can see if you're getting a good enough connection. If not, then I would call DirecTV for more info.

It's nice to have the On Demand feature...but I don't use often. Sometimes, there will be a few of my kid's show that I can download, which is kinda nice.

It was a SD movie. And I have tested my connection twice at speedtest.net

It came back at 16 and 17mbps.

I down loaded a 1/2 hour Food network show yesterday, and that took 30 minutes.

I have my HR20 hardwired to my Linksys G wireless router.

I noticed last night that the sound is very low on anything I download. I have to turn the volume all the way up when I watch something from OD.
