FWIW, my ReplayTV 5040 still works fine with Comcast here in Atlanta. I can use the IR Blaster (reprogrammed with the correct codes) to control the Pace DC50X Digital Adapter they provided for free. SD recordings, sure, but recordings I can watch and transfer elsewhere in my LAN and store forever. :-)
