What differences and relations are between these two warranties? (control, channel)

1. I wonder what differences and relations are between the two warranties?
Are they added together, so four years of warranty?

2. If I use my American Express credit card to purchase it, the credit card itself will bring some extension on the warranty of electronics.
I wonder which warranty the card extend?
Will the extension of one warranty by the card co-exist with the other warranty?

Extended warranties are not worth it, they offer them because they make a lot of money off them because people don't collect on them. They cover a time period that products rarely fail. If a product is going to fail it will usually be early on within the manufacturers warranty because of a defect, after that there is likely no defects that will cause it to fail and the product will typically go well beyond the manufacturers warranty or the extended warranty.

Manufacturers warranty does not cover accidental damage. This secondary warranty would cover this part only. Problem is that it would first need to be sent to manufacturer. If it comes back stating accidental damage then you have to send it out again to the secondary coverage.

Amex adds an additional year to the manufacturers warranty.
