So it is a old leak, and things could of changed. Yet it is ovious Microsoft is really looking at doing a Always on, must be connected to the internet game console. Kind of like Steam - for your game system.

No used games (I guess they don't plan on selling this console through Gamestop?)

Maybe I'm getting old. I don't mind steam. .. but I never (EVER) buy a steam game the day it comes out. I wait for the discount or humble bundle. I don't pay full price for a game that I can't sell.

The only variation in this is I did buy Activision Blizzards Starcraft 2.. which I don't think you can sell.

I don't think I will get a console where I don't actually own the games, and can only rent the games for the full price I used to pay to BUY the game.

But looking how its headed. . .i'm sure all the games will be $10 bucks and you need to buy $80 bucks with of inapp crap to get the full functionality.

I'm really missing the days where I could turn over $50 dollars for a game, enjoy it to its fullest, and move on.

*sigh.

The "always on" doesnt bother me as much as all of the social media integration. I have a pc and phone if I want Facebook. I use my console for gaming and media.

It bothers me, there is no reason I need to be connected to internet constantly to play a game that is single player. What if lose my internet connection?

I was all set to spend $60 on the latest Sim City but after reading the reviews found out you needed constant connection. No Thanks.

Actually there is a reason, because Microsoft says so, plus they are trying to kill the 2nd hand game market so they can make more money. I've only owned one recent console, an original xbox, never again. They are far too restrictive compared to PC gaming.

Re: Social Media. Hate it. I think BF3 was ruined by it on PC. I call it "the facebookification of BF3".
The thing that made BF2 to me was how any time you joined a squad you could automatically talk to everyone in that squad. BF3 put so much emphasis on the "Browser Server Browser" and the friend crap inside so they got rid of squad chat.
I play BF3 but I will not be buying BF4.
I also was going to buy SimCity but am not now. Must be connected and I do NOT want to be bothered by people in other cities. LAME. That should have been an optional piece not mandatory.
