What are you using for a TV antenna to pick up over-the-air signals?
My experimentation has settled on a paper clip. I use one of those spring-clamp "binder clips" on the little wire prong sticking out of the end of about 20 feet of cable coax. Through the binder clip, I have a two-inch bolt with a nut snugging it in place, which is currently just lying on a window sill, on the second floor. I reliably get a good signal from all the local stations, so I see no reason to pop for a $25 antenna.
I did not get good results with a coat hanger hanging on the wall behind the TV. The bolt works a lot better than the binder clip alone. I bought a section of insulated aluminum wire, which did not work at all as a lead from antenna to TV.
I can't afford $25 for an antenna because I spent $200 for New Years Eve fireworks and my $69 phone bill is due on Friday.
LOL!!!!!
I can afford cable or dish but refuse to pay for TV. I also don't want to watch most of what is on anyway. I did get an antenna and amp from Solid Signal. No monthly bills.
The old analog one from Radio Shack is still up on the roof and still works fine.
