The law was changed a little and HOA's can actually enforce some restrictions such as size and placement. They can even require camouflage for the dish such as the dish rock I mentioned. They must however, allow you to place your dish of the allowed size in a location where acceptable signal can be received.

I am with you though, I would challenge them on it and put a dish up. Then if something is said, direct them to the FCC statute stating they cannot ban dishes.
