We have Cox cable here in Las Vegas, NV, and recently "upgraded" to the Cisco box from our old one. But it keeps freezing up and it will then repeat what was shown again, but I end up missing parts of the program I am watching as it will then skip to that. Also, I am a channel flipper and will just go through them all one by one til something looks interesting. It's very laggy and takes longer now. It was not like this before.
The reason we switched was the old box was doing too much pixelating and that was annoying, but not as annoying as the new box with the new problem.
Mine is just the basic cable box, my husbands is the DVR and he is happy with his.
Is there a simple fix for these issues? Or should I just get the older box back? Because it worked much better except for the pixelating issues.

Probably switch it out for another one and see if the issue continue. The box I had with DirecTV was laggy with changing the channel. Sometimes it would take up to ten seconds for the channel to change.
