I need some help from the CD community. I don't have any explanation on my user manual about what certain functions do. I'd like to know what "switch model" function #9 imeans, and what the "decode memory card", function # 8 does, if someone would be so kind as to break it down for me.
I've googled, and YT'd, and come up with zilch. I think the BS-121 series is obsolete. That's why it was on the half price table at Metro PCS in April.
One more thing: is a memory card in an IPOD? I've never had one, so I don't know how they operate. The only device I've ever used a memory card for is a digital camera.

Ipads and iphones have built in memory that is internal and not removable and you can not add any extra memory as they don't have a slot to put in an extra memory card. Most Android devices do have some builtin memory and an extra external slot for a micro SD card.

I don't think they make Ipods anymore but the memory is also internal in them.

Doesn't it say "switch mode", not switch model? It means you press that button to switch listening modes.

Decode memory card probably means, if you insert a memory card that contains an audio file such as an MP3, the device will decode it and play it.

The grammar and spelling of the manual is pretty bad. So while it does say Model I think they meant Mode. Some devices that can play from a USB stick or Memory card must first scan it to catalog the contents. This might be what they're talking about.
