The apartment put in double pane windows and now no cell phone in the apt.

but could double pane affect land line?
I'm trying to figure out if the problem is my phone.
I know I could get another phone and plug it in, but in the meantime I'll ask here.
The landline phone works via cable (Optimum).
I can't remember if I had a problem with it before the double-pane windows.
It seems to me the windows shouldn't make a difference since the activity is via cable.
I will ask the cable company what they think.
The internet, and TV are also on cable and no problem there.
The problem with the phone is that the dial tone comes and goes. And the ringer doesn't work. (It is turned up).
No. The window has nothing to do with the phone and telephone line, but it is possible that the window installers loosened or disconnected the cable somewhere outside the building.
You have no cell signal after the windows were installed? Did you have a very weak signal before? Your provider will offer a free booster to use. Even a weak signal will not be bothered by such windows, so your signal must have been barely there.
Maybe if the double pane windows have some sort of UV coating that has a metallic formulation?
I've read that can affect cell reception.
