Sure, but, as stated, that's not really a thing nowadays. It's really not. No one is sitting in a van on your street trying to hack into your network.
Today's 'hackers' are sending you emails trying to get you to log in to fake banking sites, or impersonating people you know and tricking you into sending them gift card codes or geting you to click on a website that infects your computer with ransomware.
What am I going to get by hacking your thermostat? Mess with your house temps? OoOoOHhoOo... lol
