How to boost wifi?

I agree. The house was built in the 1920s and has all sorts of things that are utterly useless today (like the courtyard in the center of the home.


It's full of wires and jacks from previous decades. Most of the time the wiring is obsolete and I simply have holes in the plaster that are a nuisance.
I do use a surface mounted box if it is in a visible place.



But most of the time the wire is behind furniture and I will probably simply cut it out if I sell the house.




In the future people will probably opt for fiber optic cables and consider ethernet jacks just as useless as they do phone jacks today.

It's about 10,000 sq feet total but only about 2/3 is considered "finished". It's just covered with jacks that were considered important in the 1940s and 1950s, but are no longer useful.

Do you remember these jacks?



Like I said, sometimes I use a surface mounted jack with a wire, possibly with a wire coming up through a radiator hole.
