Hi everyone!
I, Just This Week purchased a Vizio V-Series 50” HDR Smart tv. (V505-G9)
Here is my problem.
I'll be watching a program and the screen will shut off.
(goes black)
There will still be sound but no picture!
Sometimes it happens when changing the channel!
The only way to get a picture back is to power off and on again.
I say power off but I'm pretty sure that the tv is already off, (except for the sound) because the remote wont change the channel and the back button wont work!
One time, instead of going black, the screen turned green?
(Don't remember if it kept the sound on that time)
I have a Verizon QIP 7100 P2 cable box.
I have run an hdmi cable from the box to the 2.1 hdmi port on the tv.
As I said, this is a Brand New smart tv and it is starting to display the same problem that my 14 year old Vizio tv had!
(That one went totally dark too but kept the sound!)
Nothing would bring the picture back , not even powering off and on.
(So I replaced it with this one) 8-(
I find it difficult to believe that this "less than a week old tv" would be going out!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
