I would like to get a radio for my dad, who is elderly and has lost his eyesight. He does not get a good radio signal at his house but does have wifi. My stepmother does only very basic things on the computer.
He would probably only listen to baseball games (his local team).
Is there a radio that outwardly acts like a traditional radio but gets its signal from the wifi?

on my dads car i set up the tune-in widget on his mobile cellular smart telefone and bluetooth so he can toggle thru his top 3 stations.
without eyesight maybe you can configure the voice-assistant/accessability/handicap features on the mobile.

Echo is the simplest solution, but the Grace Digital radios are pretty solid, too. Since OP's dad has lost his eyesight, he will benefit from a solution that has buttons and preset stations. I keep one on my bedside table that I listen to nightly. I don't need to see it to operate it.

I've had this one for several years, I can listen to radio from anywhere in the world. Too bad it has been discontinued, but they do have another model for sale.

Thank you. (Apparently I have encountered your posts in another thread, because I can't rep you here.)
Can you reliably get am stations, or are some not included in iheart? If you are listening to a station, then turn off the radio, will it be on the same station when you turn it back on?

Thanks.
He wouldn't want Alexa or Siri or Google to talk to, and he doesn't use a cellphone.
He doesn't want music, either. Just baseball, just one team, just one station.
Can he just turn this on manually, like an old-fashioned radio?

"If you are listening to a station, then turn off the radio, will it be on the same station when you turn it back on?"...Yes
I'd have to check on the AM stations, I never listen to AM. I believe iheart radio is just one of the choices....there are thousands of stations to choose from, not all are associated with iheart radio.

They have to have a website out. The radio station that is. Then you can catch the radio station on WiFi.
