Does anyone have Spectrum's battery backup unit with their VOIP phone service?
If so, will it allow your phone to go on working if the power goes out in your home?

One tech told me the battery backup will only power the phone modem,
and not the phone itself. That doesn't make sense to me.

Thank you!

It depends on your phone and how it is powered. Look to see how many connections are going to it. If it is powered by an adapter plugged into a 120V outlet, then it will not work if your power fails. If the only phone connection is the one to the modem, then it should work OK.
