Hey everyone up there I want to know if yaw think there would be enough business to support a body shop and general mechanic(belt, hoses, plugs wires)? I know that there a good many in the area. But being from out of the area,(new in town) do yaw think it could fly? This is what is on the agenda if&when we move up there!!! We are planing another trip hopefully in June to look around at some places(shop area&homes).

I want yaw to be honest with me!! Thanks Southernfried

If I were you I wouldnt go around saying "yaw".
It is hard to predict, but from my experience good mechanics and body shops are always busy. If you do a good job and treat people fair I dont see why you couldnt make a go of it.

My husband works at the largest shop here, they stay pretty busy but there are quite a few shops here. With the economy the way it is, I would be wary of starting a new shop with so many already in the area.

I'll tell you what is great about this area though - SO much opportunity to have a home with enough land to have a nice outbuilding to do some side work. We just put an offer on a home and my husband hopes to get set up like that sometime in the future. We went to every body shop in the area, and applied to most of them when we were trying to move up here. We don't regret it, love it up here
