A nice drone video of downtown Cookeville. The video must've been made at the beginning of last summer as there are some downtown construction projects that don't appear in the video. Anyway, it's not bad.

Former Cookeville mayor Ricky Shelton posted these pictures of Monterey's Bee Rock on his Facebook page. It is such a beautiful place, and now that the city of Monterey owns it, it's easier to get to.

@JMT, I was up your way today to buy hay. The fella has a Cookville post address but I don’t see why, lol

Drop dead gorgeous scenery. Where I bought the hay was almost like a step back in time. Sorry to all the folks moving into the Crossville area, but I’m old school and hope the area I was in stays a step back in time and the housing developments go elsewhere.

It was a six hour round trip for us, so no time to stop and eat, something we would have done in younger days. We were happy our old selves can still hit the road with the truck/trailer and get home unscathed, lol. Why we drove 105 miles for 147 small bales of hay, is it’s own story that nobody but a another horse owner would care about

The CD software won’t let me upload a photo I took of the Plateau; a breath taking view going up 55. It posted just fine elsewhere, so I’m not resizing it, lol.

I'm so sorry I didn't see this post. I'm glad you had a fruitful trip up this way and enjoyed the scenery! It really is a beautiful area (as is most of Tennessee). If you ever come back up this way, let us know so we can recommend some great places to eat.

Here are pictures of the recent snow event from this week. Almost a year to the day since the last good snowfall, but the temperatures this time are much colder which means the snow will stick around a bit longer.

These were all posted on Ricky Shelton's Facebook page. Some are from local photographer Beverly Evans, others are from local photographer Creigh Slaven.

And these were shared by the Cookeville Visitors Bureau of pictures taken by another local photographer, Abigail Weeden, of our beautiful downtown made even more beautiful in the falling snow.
