I've heard great things....I for some reason thought this store was reserved for metropolitan areas. Locations listing indicates as well. Outparcel for Shoppes at Eagle Pointe? Probably not: "Spaces consisting of 2,000 – 2,800 square feet are preferred."

Perhaps he just bought the franchise rights because he could...sometimes that happens.

Speaking of franchise rights...where is the Bojangles that was slated to open here after the Crossville opening? That person purchased the franchise rights for a store in Crossville and Cookeville as reported by the H-C. Bojangles is opening in Sparta. Personally, I prefer Popeyes.

Sparta is getting a Bojangles? That makes no sense! Is it going in the old Wendy's location? Sparta can't support a Wendy's but they can support a Bojangles? Here's the article from the H-C where someone from Bojangles said Cookeville would have 2-3 stores. Instead, there's one in Crossville and one in Sparta but none in Cookeville? Idiots.

Bojangles' Expansion Plans Include Cookeville - Business Opportunities

But I agree, I prefer Popeye's, too, although a Bojangle's is better than nothing.

The old Wendy's would have seemed logical, but this is new construction across Hwy 111 from McDonald's.

My guess would be they were concerned about the location of the old Wendy's, and its access to Hwy 111.

This article implies the Sparta Bonjangles is company owned.

While driving down Interstate Drive the other day I noticed that construction has started on the new Rib City. It'll be a nice addition to Restaurant Row.

Well FINALLY. Bojangles is going up on Willow just north of I-40 and across from Wholesale Furniture.

UCBJ – Upper Cumberland Business Journal » Bojangles’ selects location for Cookeville eatery

Tasty's, a carry out salad place, is opening tomorrow in the old Deangelo's Pizza on Lowe St M-F 10-2. Seems to be similar to the one on Proffit, behind the Dollar General Market. But more expensive. $4.50/lb. I think the other place is just over $3/lb. Tasty's does have a Facebook page.

Is it run by the same people? I love that salad place behind Dollar General Market but can go there only once every blue moon because they're open only at lunch M-F. I'll have to try Tasty's.

Not sure if it's the same people, but I doubt it. Will only be open 10-2 M-F, so not much different. Looks like it will be more expensive, but it says they'll have over 100 choices, plus baked potatoes. Want to try it myself.

I'll say it again...would prefer Popeye's over Bojangles....but at least some of that land on Willow will be built up....more density.
