The things people will do for free stuff... It always amazes me when people camp out to save a few dollars. To me, this seems very over dramatic and over the top. The amount of hype for anything new in Cookeville is almost ridiculous. I have never seen so many people go crazy over a Publix or restaurant change.

I generally agree, but it said the first 100 people will get free chicken salad for a year. Makes you think.

When we lived in Cookeville my HS aged son camped at BWW when they 1st opened. Free wings for a year is a big deal for a HS kid. And, Gotta tell you, it's not reserved for Cookeville. They'll camp out here in Charlotte and well as just about anywhere. Great marketing tool. People get excited for something new.

Yes, I saw the sign a few weeks back and thought it was odd. Then, Friday night I saw the grand opening sign.

I went on Saturday night. I love Quiznos, but I'm not sure they are in a good location. They are upstairs at the Discount Wine & Liquor on Jefferson. They do have a nice area with tables and a few tables out on a balcony. They do have an elevator too since they are upstairs.

I had the chicken carbonara. I forgot to say no mushrooms, and there was no bacon on it. But I will be back and want to get the honey bacon club next. Will be back several times for sure. I hope they do well.

Quiznos? Again? This time in the remains of a lounge and upstairs? This dying franchise must be offering crazy low franchisee fees.

Another restaurant delivery service has started in Cookeville. This one is called WAITR.

Restaurants partnering with Waitr include Caribbean Cafe & Restaurant, India Palace, Papa John’s Pizza, San Antonio Taco Company, Lazy Cow Creamery, Hooligans Half Irish Pub, Pharaoh’s Grill, The Salad Station, Buffalo Wild Wings, Casa Grande, The Whistle Stop Pizzeria & More, Shaker’s Pizza, T-Mart, El Tapatio, Bar On The Green, El Magueyal Mexican Restaurant, Bubba Gandy Seafood Cajun Market and Pelican SnoBalls, according to a press release.

I'd like to see how they can deliver snow cones across town. Anyway, this makes the 5th restaurant delivery service in Cookeville, after Uber Eats, Food of Your Mood, We Deliver, and Door Dash.

Cole's Country Store outside of Baxter was featured on Tennessee Crossroads last week. Here's the report which will make you hungry. I've been to Cole's several time and have left happy and full each time. Be warned, though, it's cash only (no credit cards). And there's nothing low calorie or low fat about it. It's delicious.

Sweet Boba Cafe has opened on Jefferson next to Walls of Books in that new strip center that was recently completed across the street from Big Lots. They have a lot of teas and other drinks that remind of when I lived in the Philippines and Hong Kong.
