Absolutely spot on!

They have the ball and the game, want to play?

Is anyone planning on attending the hearing on December 3rd? I can't attend so any updates would be great.

I thought about it. Probably won't though.

I heard the hearing was cancelled for 12/3. Does anyone know what's going on?

That's interesting. There's no explanation given by the state. All it says at TDEC's web site is:

NOTICE OF CANCELLATION: The public hearing for NRS14.305 Browning Development Solutions, scheduled for 5:00pm on Thursday, December 3rd at the TDEC Cookeville Environmental Field Office has been canceled.

I hope, after many similar studies and delays, any protected areas to be preserved have been identified and finalized, and construction of Shoppes at Eagle Pointe will finally progress. At the earliest, you could see a new Publix and other tenants open by late 2016 or early 2017.

Did you call TDEC to get this information? Very interesting, if not frustrating.

Who would file an injunction to stop the meeting unless it was an opponent who wasn't ready.....which seems unlikely.

As well, the words cancelled and postponed have two different meanings, and the TDEC website states "cancelled."

Since the meeting was cancelled, that seems to imply that either the development has been put on hold, or TDEC did not received any opposition to it during the 30-day comment period. I guess. Anyway, I've been told that the Herald-Citizen will have the story in its paper this afternoon. I can't imagine that Browning will just walk away from it given everything they're willing to do to compensate for the wetlands destruction.
