At one extent can one person continue to delay this project?

Ricky Shelton just had a Facebook post regarding the hearing on Tuesday, May 3rd at 5:00 pm. It looks like from the photo he posted PetsMart is in Parcel 4. That's a tenant I haven't heard of before going in. Great news! Let's get everyone on Tuesday there to support this development for Cookeville!

That is interesting. Michael's doesn't appear on the new drawings, either. Can Cookeville support Petco AND Pet Supplies Plus AND PetsMart?

Michael's is rumored to be struggling, maybe expansion is no longer viable for them.

Makes total sense. I'm not sure if Michael's would add much more to Cookeville's retail offerings since we already have a Hobby Lobby.

I wonder if Joann Fabrics could be persuaded to locate here. With the entire Hancock Fabrics company going belly up, I hope Joann could come in and fill the gap. I know a lot of people who are really, really going to miss Hancock.

My wife both sews and bakes custom cookies and cakes.

She would gladly take either a Michael's or a JoAnne's, she says Michael's tends to carry more of the baking things she needs than Hobby Lobby and JoAnne's obviously has way more fabric and sewing equipment/supplies.

I know it isn't likely to happen, but World Market would be an awesome addition.

I'd love to see a Bed Bath & Beyond which I guess would have a large selection of baking things? But I don't know if there's room for a BB&B in this development.

I love World Market but agree it probably won't happen. There was one in Paducah KY (about the same size as Cookeville) but it eventually closed. Interestingly, World Market is owned by Bed Bath & Beyond.

That would be so good and so bad at the same time. I'd spend too much money there!

I don't see the income level of the area being a problem with a Harbor Freight either as they are not usually in "high rent" neighborhoods.

Harbor Freight: Where you can buy a shovel, a tarp, machetes, and bolt cutters on the same transaction without getting any funny looks.
