You mean an appeals committee isn't meeting? TDEC functions daily...I don't understand why it may take 6 months.

I don't know either, heard that was their next quarterly meeting and they can't add it to agenda until then. Not happy about it.

Also, where was he when the residential development right behind this property was being planned?

This is beyond ridiculous. If this guy doesn't want progress to happen, move somewhere that isn't growing and won't ever grow. Sheesh.
Seriously. It's like he's afraid that disturbing this land will unearth some incriminating evidence of a heinous crime he was involved in or something. Otherwise, he's just a putz. Hopefully, TDEC will dismiss this ridiculous appeal swiftly and put an end to his chicanery.

His goal is just to keep delaying as much as possible so the developers leave.

So I guess we can expect this again when somebody finally requests permits for the old Norwalk property.

Can one person really stop this whole project? I'm hoping Herald-Citizen posts something soon with updates on how long this delay will take for TDEC to respond.

Interesting that he filed it on behalf of the entire Sierra Club when members in our own city government don't feel the same way as this guy. If this guy screws this project up, I have a bad feeling that any future developers looking to build here are going to look elsewhere out of fear this guy will drag everything out again.

Edit: After reading the whole thing, geez. At much as it hurts to think about it, the developers have to be thinking enough is enough at some point and just cancel the whole project.
