I saw the electric company doing utility work opposite that tract a few months back. That's the only thing remotely close to any movement I've seen. Could have been installing taller and or more sturdy poles.

Not surprising, and definitely very good news! It shows that the project is progressing. I suppose Panda Express will take one of the outparcels?

What a waste of outparcel space then. Loathe it. But people like it, so PE is better than no PE.

Beggers can't be choosers. Not sure exact location yet.

I beg to differ....I'm just kidding. PE will do extremely well in Cookeville with or without my patronage.

It most likely is an outparcel due to their heavy drive-thru traffic...PE could build anywhere in Cookeville and make tons of money. Hopefully Panera would be another of the outparcels....was hoping for a Red Robin or some other casual dining option over a fast food drive thru place.

A El Polo Loco would be nice or a Popeyes but a Red Robin would be good too.

Popeyes would be nice. One thing I miss from FL. Haven't seen on in this area yet.

Closest Popeyes is in Gallatin; I prefer Bojangles over Popeyes....but Popeyes is pretty good.

Little-known fact: there used to be a Popeye's in Cookeville, and it was actually one of the first in the entire company. A Popeye's was built behind Waffle House / JCPenney in the late 70s. I don't know when it closed, but it later became a Dairy Queen and is now Family Traditions. I would love to have Popeye's in Cookeville again.

I do think--and have heard--that a lot of chains are eager to enter Cookeville but are waiting for this Shoppes at Eagle Point which will bring in a lot more shoppers and potential customers to town. Once this shopping center opens, it won't take long for the few remaining vacant lots on Interstate Drive to be snapped up and developed.

And I agree with Jumeby. I'd love to see an El Pollo Loco in Cookeville, too.
