It looks like the entire shopping center has been scaled back which is really no big surprise. I'm guessing the developer is having to provide more water detention space which means less concrete and asphalt. It also looks like there will be only 2 big stores (Publix and Academy Sports) and several smaller retailers, about 220,000 square feet total. Didn't the original announcement have this at 250,000 square feet?

The project scaled down to 219,000 square feet or so early on.

Their signs along Walnut Ave and Interstate Dr still say 230,000.

Browning still lists 230K, CBL lists 229K, in the past it shrank to 219K from 250K. Who knows at this point, but that doesn't include possible outparcels.

Good point. The outparcels aren't part of the 219,000 square feet. I imagine Panera and Panda Express will be in the outparcels, for example. There are four outparcels shown on the link I posted above. I wonder what the other two will be.

One of them is probably Chipotle.

My experience with Chipotle will be that it will be one of the "shops" included in the project. They're not very large (under 3,000 square feet) and don't have a drive-thru; so, they wouldn't be the best fit for a standalone outparcel.

I'm sure it will. The Tullahoma store is being added to an existing shopping center.
