I need to find a reputable jewelry repair shop in Cookeville where I can get a small neck chain and bracelet put back together. Google lists a number of shops but I'd like some personal input to find a good one.

The local place here is run by a guy that's a terrible person. There used to be a really good jeweller here but he got old and retired a couple of years ago so I'm looking for a new (good) guy to fix these.

Thanks, Centos6

Thanks for the direct message with information and link. I'll motor over to Cookeville tomorrow with my broken chains. I appreciate all you-uns. :-)

Yes, Bones, I agree. Ray is a great repairman. I sure miss his shop here in town. I still see him from time to time at the grocery or out and about. A really nice gentleman. I meant to go to Cookeville yesterday but it got cold and snowed so I stayed home.

I'd rather to be beaten with a board than to drive I-40 amongst the semi trucks up and down that hill to Cookeville in rain, ice or snow. I don't know if that hill has a name - (I have a few for it!) I think it's about 6 miles long with a 6% grade. One truck wanting to go 30 will try to pass another truck going 25 and the traffic backs up all the way down the hill. When the sun comes out, I'll have another go at it.

Oh yes, I hate that hill! That's the hill between Cookeville and Monterey. Even though trucks are supposed to stay in the right lane the entire length of the hill heading east, some jerks still get in the left lane even though they're only doing about 30, passing another truck doing about 25. So I don't blame you for not wanting to make the drive to Cookeville from Crossville. Even though it's probably a bit longer, I find the drive on Hwy 70 between Cookeville and Monterey to be infinitely more pleasant and certainly more scenic; there's nary a truck in site on that stretch of highway.
