Well, it looks like we will be on our way to Cookeville. Signed the contract today with our neighbor for our house. Closing on January 12 and we can stay rent free until March 31, to give us time to find a house in Cookeville. So barring any unforeseen problems, we will be up there in time for spring flowers (and out of here before hurricane season).

Definately want to be gone before next hurricane season.
Now you can get ready for the Tennessee tornado season.

Actually where I am in Central Florida is a bit of a tornado hotspot, so Cookeville won't be anything much worse for that. I was here in 1998 when we got the line of tornadoes that came through and killed 42 people in the area. One touched down a couple of miles away; sounded just like a continuous rumble of thunder that went on and on.

Well, these Floridians are one step closer to Cookeville. Closed on the sale of our house this morning. Now this gives our trip up there later this month to buy or rent a house that extra push to "Get 'er Done".

It looks like finding a house is going to be a bit of a challenge for us. I saw one pop up on Realtor.com on Tuesday that looked interesting. Contacted my agent who said that she was actually looking at it with a client on Thursday and would let me know what she thought of it as far as matching what we were looking for. Thursday evening she contacted me that she never got to show it. It went under contract before she and the client got to see it.

It looks like the time period between now and March 31st when we have to be out of our house here is going to be a very interesting time with the way that the current housing market is in Cookeville.

My goodness, I knew the housing market in Cookeville was heating up, but I had no idea it had gotten that extreme. I sure hope you'll be able to find something.
