Any Crappie...... ? It's been years since I fresh water fished. Most of my salt water lures probably weigh more than the fish you catch......

No crappie, the small lake will not support them because they multiply like rabbits. I don't just throw the fish back to grow up and be caught another day....

That brings back memories. Our previous property had a large pond which I stocked the same. I put in 6 grass carp but a couple didn't make it. They were about 8-10 inches when I put them in and about 3 ft long when we sold the place. I used to mow around the pond with the Z-mower and blow the clipping towards the water. Then when I was done I would sit on the mower drinking my Bud and watch the carp as they looked like minature submarines cruising just below the surface. They would come up and just suck in the grass like a vacuum cleaner. They did good job of keeping the algae down.

Sounds like you have a neat place to call home.
