We are retired with no children. One of the many things we like about Cookeville is that the community seems to really make an effort with activities involving families with children.

When we retired in Florida, many people thought we should move to a retirement community like The Villages in Central Florida, but that was not for us. We like a place with all age groups; not just old people like us. Yesterday, one of the houses in back of us had what must have been a birthday party. Kids hollering and squealing for a couple of hours. We thought it was great to hear them having fun.
