Hidden Hollow Park will be transformed into a scene from the middle ages, accompanied by events such as King and Queen pageant, a maypole dance, competition, and stages of actors performing middle age demonstrations such as fire breathing, sword swallowing, and sword fighting.

Well we showed up late and apparently the weather kept the turn out here low as well. However, Hidden Hollow is a quirky kind of place and the Renaissance fest is a great event for such a venue. We caught the tail end of the fire-eater-comedy-jester act but apparently this was one of the show highlights as the feller was quite the riot. The White County schools had their students put on a historical battle via a human chess match and I have to take my hat off to those young folks for putting such a great effort into their show. Couple of those kids are destined for Hollywood. So Braveheart move over.
