Does anyone have any new information about that piece of land being cleared on Old Kentucky across from the Nazarene church? We went by it around 9AM and there was a sign there about a chicken farm; farm to table. Went by around noon and the sign was gone. Maybe just an advertising sign that got put there and then taken down?

That's a very good question. The owner paid $1.3 million for that property last year and then razed the farm house that was there, but as far as I can tell the owner is not a developer and hasn't submitted any site plans or applied for any building permits with the city. It's 13 acres and is zoned RS15 which means single family homes with a minimum lot size of 15,000 square feet (about 1/3 acre). I don't think chicken farms are permitted inside the city.

I would love to know what they're doing. My church was looking at that property, but it sold before the higher-ups could approve our purchase. With million dollar homes across the street and with its RS15 zoning, I assume the owner will build high end homes there, but who knows.

I believe that there is an old cemetery on that piece of property.

Yes, it appears on Google Maps and FindAGrave that the Bradford / Wilhite Family Cemetery is located there.

The Wilhite Cemetery is surrounded by that property but is not part of it.
