Some areas are just getting hit harder than others, there were 176,000 homes that were foreclosed on just last month across the US, Double that of the month before. Analysts are predicting values on homes purchased during the time when real estate prices peaked can expect to lose between 20 to 50percent of their value. I guess people struggling to meet payments and don't have enough equity in the home to loose that large of a percentage are just walking away from them.
I was reading in the Fort Meyers Florida where a developer was dumping townhomes that sold for $300,000 2 years ago for $180,000 at auction just to get rid of them.
It is'nt going to get better anytime soon even with the stricter guidelines for loans.

Foreclosures at Homescout - Cumberland County, TN

Crossville, TN Foreclosures on Yahoo! Real Estate: 1-10 of 50 listings

shenandoah
This is just two links dedicated to foreclosed properties in Crossville.
I personally use A local agent to pick up deals. The amount of properties is now over 1000.
Not much is moving but i've had some good luck picking up land and fliping it to developers at triple the money.

I am also considering moving to the Crossville, TN area in the future. I noticed a small dirt track and a drag strip. Can anyone give me info on this as well as other car related activities. That is my hobby.

I know of an organization called Hilltoppers that help people to get jobs and they will actually go with them to the job sites if neccessary.
