There is also another new community there- called Indian Trail Estates. I bought there and I looked at Hawks Bluff but I wasn't happy with a few things- first, the roads scared me- we looked in Phase 3 and 4 and wow- what a roller coaster- plus if another car was coming you'd have to pull off the road. The reason we bought in Indian Trail Estates is because all the homes have to be some sort of log home or something like it. I didn't want to build a beautiful log home and have someone come along and put up a vinyl sided home. link removed

They must cater to residents of nearby states only. I filled out the pre-qualification / contact paperwork two weeks ago and they have not made contact.

I found the small print on their "free trip offer."

This free trip offer is only available for residents of Florida, Michigan, Illinois and Ohio.

My husband and I are thinking about Hawk's Bluff also. Would really appreciate information on employment - we will be semi-retired but want to continue to work part time. Also interested in knowing if Van Buren is a dry county?

my wife and I are currently building now in Hawks Bluff a Log home. I also have to work when I move up there. There are alot of towns close by with employment. We are also from the Florida area and can't wait to get out of Florida. Hawks Bluff is real nice and Paul on of the salespersons was from the Broward area retired as a deputy and sells homes there. Nice guy and good to deal with. He also lives there. If you have any question fell free to email me
at brcomm0@bellsouth.net for more info.

Can anyone tell me the restictions at Hawks Bluff? Besides the home being 1200 sq ft, What about a free standing garage or Shed? Also, what is the closest boating lake for that area?
