Summer's almost here ... I can now see the deer moving around in my back yard.

Yep, won't be long.

This picture is a joke, right? I mean you don't get THAT much snow there do you? If you do it looks too much like where I live right now. Where abouts on the plateau do you live?

That's hysterical!

And yes, Mountain Sprite, Bones is joking. And it's a good one!

LOL. Love that pic.
I still have some lingering snow on my deck. I did hear some birds tweet tweeting this morning on my way to feed and it was daylight at 5:30, yep, feels like spring. Just two more weeks until the equinox.

Talk about fish in a barrel. Those deer are pretty much toast... just kidding!

Here's a shot taken outside of Marion County on Sand Mountain, this one is probably more typical...

Bones,

You never told me how much you had to shovel for the kitties to be able to get outside. No wonder they brought the mice in to play.....
Great picture.

I've hearing some frogs. They don't sound very happy, long drawn out tree frog croaks.

Seems that photo is making the rounds. Mom claimed it was her backyard and she lives in southern Pennsylvania. The snow is so deep at her house, she's resorted to tossing the birdseed out the dining room window. No way can she get to the bird feeders.

We generally see robins year round and don't use them as 'a sign of spring'. Instead, it's the arrival of the Redwing Blackbirds and Cowbirds, which arrived last weekend.
